tarot cards: naming
I like naming things on impulse and watching to see how they
take on their name, what they make of it. It is in this sense I decide when a
certain image I create is a tarot card or not. I haven’t the patience or
passion to give my attention to deep systems by way of exploring tarot and what
it means in a greater context. I am only really interested in what it immediately
means to me. And I enjoy this so much so that I actively resist ‘reading into’.
I feel me naming it is effort enough and it is for it to decide how it would
like to enunciate its particular name. I am always surprised by it.
So if I were a factory you could say I am a blind mechanism that says ‘begin’.
At the moment I am very fixated on images of people doing things with their hands. Like my naming, I don’t know exactly what they are doing, but the image of them being lost in it, in the it it, I find enchanting. A shallow mystification with it not being my job to create depths, yet still the archaeologists and deep sea divers are jealous of me, I am told.
